• Question: When you are looking for intelligent life forms do you consider the bubble universe theory and do you believe bubble universes can exist?

      I don’t really know a lot about bubble universes, but at the moment there is no evidence for any other Universes apart from our own. In fact detecting other Universes is thought to be either impossible or very hard as far as I understand. So no, we don’t look at bubble universes for signs of life because our Universe is big enough and we haven’t found any convincing signs of life other than on Earth yet. But the search is still on!

      I do like the idea of other Universes though, because why should we be so lucky and have the only one. Maybe sometime in the future we will be able to know if we are in the only Universe or not, but at the moment it’s impossible to say.

      Wow, what a question! I actually had to look up what a ‘bubble universe’ was! But as Martin says, there is currently no evidence that they exist – it is currently just a theory. I can just about cope with trying to think about the scale of our Universe, let alone lots of them, hehe 🙂
