      Well, the discovery of the Higgs boson basically means that all the scientific theories involving particles are so far correct, and so we know we’re on the right track to understanding how they work and interact with each other. Without the Higgs boson, it would be difficult for us to explain why everything in the Universe has mass. And without mass, nothing would be able to exist, and I wouldn’t be trying to answer this question 🙂
