• Question: Do you think there are any wildlife/ animals/ living things that we still haven't discovered on the surface of the earth?

      We’re discovering new things all the time. In fact this week it was announced that a new species of fly was found which has been named after Beyonce, it’s official name is Scaptia (Plinthina) beyonceae fly. Here it is:

      Tonnes of them, Most of them aren’t very big, so there probably aren’t any species of elephant that we don’t know about, but once you start getting smaller than maybe a cat or a mouse there must be thousands or more!

      I think there are probably lots of species that exist and become extinct before we even realise they’re there! They are still discovering all sorts of weird plants and animals all the time, particularly in the Amazon rainforest. I always find the new deep-sea fish they find reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally creepy…
