• Question: Do you prefer Manchester or Liverpool? And if any, which Manchester football team would you support?

      Haha, well, let’s start off with the easy questions! ;-D

      In terms of both the city and the football team, it’s Liverpool all the way!! For the University, I think they’re both fantastic – both in amazing locations, loads to do and see, lots of ways to get involved in student life… And both have amazing astronomy departments with international links to major projects (Manchester is involved with the ALMA project http://www.almaobservatory.org/, which is being built here in Chile, and Liverpool own the Liverpool Telescope in the Canary Islands http://telescope.livjm.ac.uk/). Both come highly recommended by me! 😉

      I was born in London, but moved to Liverpool when I was 18 months old, so I am essentially a pure-bred Scouser. Sadly, this means that I have a genetic disposition against anything related to Manchester United, and so I would have to choose Man. City if I was forced 🙂
