I took Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry. I went on to do a Physics degree where you really need both Physics and Maths (plus Further Msths helped a lot too).

I took Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Literature. The total opposite to Martin, I didn’t take any form of Maths at all after GCSE – several astronomy degrees will actually give you Maths courses in your first year to teach you the more advanced stuff you need to know for the degree, so this is what I did.

It means you have to work a bit harder than everyone else to get to the same base-level of knowledge, but I think my feeling of achievement must have been greater at the end of it 😉

I did Calculus, Physics, English, Design, and I think the last one was Chemistry. These were all handy for my Physics degree, though I didn’t do that until about 5 years after I left school.
